Description
Wrangler's Desert Gin (Ginger) was sired by our HTA frozen semen son (Wrangler's Honky Tonk Tex). Tex is double bred Crow's Little Joe on his bottom side. I bred Tex but he was raised on a Bob White quail ranch in TX by a good friend and long time bird dog hunter, Brad Long. Tex returned to our kennel to stud out and carry forward his spectacular bloodlines. Tex is one of my top dogs on my wild bird string.

Ginger's dam (Desert Blaze) was Southern Doctor, Whiskey Creek Hook and Elhew Strike bred. That dam was raised by a friend of mine in NM Joe Runyan. Joe is no slouch when it comes to dogs. He won the Yukon Quest in 1985 and then the Iditarod in 1989, becoming the first musher to have won both long distance races. Joe left Alaska and now mostly hunts with his bird dogs. He hangs his bird vest in Cliff, NM.

Ginger is a medium size orange/white female with black points. She is snappy and quick and has an excellent nose. She has tough feet, handles nicely in the field and a steady drive to hunt all day. She has very nice style with a high straight tail. She's all about the birds but never loses focus on hunting for me.
