| Wrangler's Honky Tonk Tex is a product of a frozen semen breeding we did with 9X CH Honky Tonk Attitude in 2010. Tex was raised on a Bob White Texas Ranch by our good friend Brad Long. Brad is a long time bird dog man. Tex came back to our kennel for stud and to carry on his extraordinary bloodlines. Tex is everything we expected from this cross and then some. He has beautiful style on point, great drive for birds and natural bird finding ability. He has a cannon for a nose and has no problem finding and working these tough desert blues here in the desert. His dam, Wrangler's Little Jo Jo is a double bred 25X CH Crow's Little Joe grand-daughter. Her sire is 25X CH Stephens Bright Copper. Jo Jo is one of the nicest gundogs I have owned and was a top producer at our kennel for many years. Rare to find a frozen semen son of HTA out of a double bred grand-daughter of Crow's Little Joe anymore. Tex has been producing extremely nice bird dogs at our kennel. His offspring are natural bird finders, natural retrievers and natural backers. If you haven't had one of these HTA/CLJ crosses then you may be missing out on the type of nose produced in these pups. Nose is what makes them natural. | |
