Markus, I introduced Rudder to dove hunting these past few days. He definitely exceeded my expectations for his first go around. By the end of his first day hunting he was retrieving, rounding up and finding downed birds with the softest mouth possible. I was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq this past year and found Wrangler Kennels through friends up at Holloman AFB, NM and the website. I just wanted to let everyone know that not only does Markus have some of the best available GSPs and English Pointers, but he is also one heck of a hunting dog trainer! I left my GSP in his capable hands two weeks ago and in this short time period he has trained Hero to "whoa", "release", "here," and to "kennel" into dog box or pickup. Hero's acknowledgement and discipline of the "whoa" command has been so instilled in him that I was able to give the whoa command, and walk not only away from him, but make a complete circle (several feet away) without him making a twitch. A remarkable feat as Hero is just a bundle of excitement, energy and drive! My wife had many doubts as to Hero's abilities due to lack of training and discipline on my part in the first 18 months of his life. Markus, it was very nice to meet you and your family when we came to pick up our Gunner/Secret pup, we call him Buster. It is obvious you took my list of our personal lives and my hunting desires into consideration when you picked this pup out for me. He is everything I had hoped for, he is meeting and exceeding everything I had requested. My wife had him retrieving a water bottle at a rest stop along the highway before we got home. I swear he retrieves better than any Lab pup I've had at 8 weeks old and now at 10 weeks he's just getting stronger. We haven't had a chance to take him swimming yet but he thinks the sprinkler is pretty cool. He's bold, loves attention, comes running when we call and clap our hands and adapts very well.
